short lesson with adobe PSD

hi..good days everyone..today i think, i would to shared about my short lesson about my fav. software, i think it more suitable for beginner applicator. but sorry..it still the preview picture with the simple tools application in adobe PSD, hope u like it :)

 so..how it this, for expert or person familiar with this effect will say.."it just lame, or ordinary"

just ignoring ok, now just explaining little bit about the tools i'm used for this artwork

first effect, from what u observed of course it must included faded and blur effect right.

then for blur and face effect : maybe we can get three or more tools,that can give blur to your picture..

1) blur tools

2) blur from filter

3) eraser tool

4) opacity adjustment

5) layer mask 

6) gradient tool

then proceed with 2nd artwork, still used the same picture..but additional in tools

after explained details as i can about function and effect for each tools in adobe PSD..insyaAllah, this what friend done..it's good progress right.

we can see an additional effect on this picture, for example:

1) clone effect, came from clone tools

2) lighting effect from jitter

3) blaster effect

4) liquidfy

 as always spec for this artwork:

Dimension: 800x600 pixels

Software: adobe PSD CS3

Resolution: 72 dpi

Time duration: 10 minutes

Retro text

Simple description :

Software: Adobe Photoshop

Dimension: 800x600 pixels

Level: Intermediate

Duration: 1 and half hours

Techniques: Retro colour, paper,shadow and overlay effect

Metal glittery effect (tutorial)

This idea were came to my mind at last year, since working at cylin cosmetic, a great company that provided me with great opportunity to expanded both side of me, chemistry and graphic.

It seem to be hard for me complete this tutorial, but don’t worry I will try my best to explains with detail as I can. Anddd..this tutorial were typing in Malay language because…I don’t have any strong reasons for that. So, every single words will be in ‘bahasa melayu’. Walaupun aku pun terfikir bagaimana nak explains well.

For those yang aku tujukan tutorial ini, sorry for being late.

Final result,korang akan dapat macam ni:

1) Maybe korang boleh try suggestion dimension untuk artwork ni,dimension yang aku guna 800x600pixels and resolutions 72 dpi.

2) First part korang kena settle ialah part belakang sekali (Wall)

3) Wall: create new layer, fill dengan grey colour (#515251), pada layer yang sama...create clipping mask, clipping mask ni untuk buat effect fading pada korang punya wall.

a. So, korang kena la click at gradient tool, select linear action..and buat garisan like thiiis:

b. After dah settle, create new layer lagi..but this time, korang gently fill that layer with white colour,then right or double click to get bleeding option. Kat situ la korang fill effect yang korang nak.

c. Pada layer yang sama, korang tukar layer mode…select lighten, dengan opacity 44% and fill 71%, padam area mana yang korang tak berkenan.

So, siap part wall, next step korang kena siapkan part rectangular part…

a. Use rectangular tool, buat perfect box in the middle, fill selected part tu dengan grey colour.

Plain kan (`O-o’), before proceed with next step, korang kena cut penjuru box ni, seperti ini.

Gunakan pen tool, buat triangle..then active selected part dengan hits at your laptop or pc Ctrl+Enter,then cut..

After that, korang rotate box tu about -2.7angle, Dah settle?? Ke blurr sikit, its ok..kite proceed dengan step seterusnya..kira hasilnya macam ni la.

optional, kalau korang duplicate layer ni,then tambah dengan glow effect, reduce opacity and fill percentage, result korang it will be like this:

Then..

camana nak tambah holes at the middle..simple je,korang kena banyak mengunakan fungsi blending option(right click, then choose blending option, tak pun double click pada layer tu

ok, step by step ea..

a) create new layer, using multiple size and style brush..splat the white colour kat mana2 yang korang suka..aku suggested kat middle is better, tapi jangan pula terlampau excited sampai terlebih..ok :)

result,after korang tambah blending mode>inner shadow

korang maybe boleh jadikan middle box macam ni:

*erase certain part yang korang rasa macam tak sesuai*

untuk hasil yang lebih menarik,aku tambahkan mode putih pada area artwork

Try biasakan diri korang, kalau nak tambah apa-apa idea dengan new layer, supaya senang nak edit ea..

untuk text ni, create new layer, select favorite your text style..and type your text..

After that, setting pada blending mode:

untuk glittery effect, korang guna brush ni:

and splat over the letters..finally korang akan dapat seperti ini:

(picture ni tak berapa sama dengan final picture,sebab aku dah hidden kan concrete wall, and aku just boleh explain ni je kot..aku tak nak memberi idea, tapi aku nak korang faham mengunakan tools yang ada dalam adobe photoshop ni.
